Mini - 2014 Lemon
The event happened in Raleigh NC not San Antonio TX
Bought 2014 Mini Cooper from Flow Mini Raleigh, NC, with stated "extras" by sale dept., drove home that night 2 hours away, car drove like *** and got only 20mpg. Called Flow Mini Raleigh, they said to let car engine break in.
Called 2 days later, still not right, sales and service stated engine still breaking in although our previous 2003 and 2009 Coopers never needed to break in. Finally catastophic engine failure at 3000 miles, picked up at Wilmington, NC now needs new engine, on order from factory, finally got loaner after $500 in rental car fees and my wife says that it reeked of smokers who used it previously.
Also, the "extras" were not quite true when my wife brought the car in previous to the failure, for first service, they found nothing wrong and did not bother to even check fluids such as windshield wiper fluid, makes us wonder if they even looked under the hood. Considering discussing this with an attorney, shame since we have had great success with 2 previous Minis and even bought our daughter a used Mini which she loves.
Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.
Monetary Loss: $38000.
Location: San Antonio, Texas

Flow Mini of Raleigh serviced my car last year and said I needed a new drive belt. I paid for Flow Mini to replace the belt.
Six months later I had another mechanic look at my car because it was not running well and he showed me my drive belt that Flow Mini said they replaced.
It was old and had numerous cracks indicating that they had not replaced the belt. Do not trust this dealership!!!!
